The author of six books, he published Pro Tactics: Steelhead & Salmon, which was also about fishing. Trolling Big-Water Walleyes is Gross’s second book with Kent State University Press. Poachers Were My Prey: Eighteen Years as an Undercover Wildlife Officer was published in 2012.
