Kevin Adams is an associate professor of history at Kent State University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in nineteenth-century American history. He is the author of Class and Race in the Frontier Army: Military Life in the West, 1870–1890 (2009). His publications also include book reviews, articles, and book chapters.
