About: Nina Freedlander Gibans

- Nina Freedlander Gibans received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and M.A. in Aesthetics and Art History from Case Western Reserve University. She has taught and written about the cultural scene since the 1950s and received the Cleveland Arts Prize Martha Joseph Citation in 2009. She has produced five videos and authored or edited five books. She was chief curator of Cleveland Goes Modern: Design for the Home 1930–1970, which won local and state awards and an invitation to AIA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., as part of their 150th anniversary celebration.
